Children learn best in a developmentally appropriate environment.
In keeping with this idea, certain basics are incorporated into our curriculum. These basics include learning center play/work time which incorporates areas such as reading/writing, dramatic play, blocks, art and science/math centers.
Large and small group times are used to teach about God’s great love for them as well as helping to develop their literacy, math music and social skills.
Activities are planned daily to help the children with their large and small motor skill development.
Time is spent each day outdoors practicing social skills, working large and small muscles and giving the children the opportunity to enjoy God’s beautiful world.
The children’s nutritional needs are met during snack time where they learn social skills in addition to eating and drinking nutritious snacks provided by parents.
By using these developmentally appropriate curriculum basics correctly, and by centering everything we do in the classroom around God’s Word, we hope to help our preschoolers develop a lifelong love for learning about their Savior Jesus and the world around them.
